Excessive underarm sweating - known as axillary hyperhidrosis - can be uncomfortable, unpredictable and difficult to manage with conventional antiperspirants alone.
For some people it affects clothing choices, work, exercise, social situations and everyday confidence. Botulinum toxin (Botox®) can be used to temporarily reduce excessive sweating by interrupting the nerve signals that stimulate the sweat glands in the treated area.
Treatment is performed across the underarm region using multiple small injections, with the aim of significantly reducing sweat production while leaving normal sweating elsewhere in the body unaffected.

Reduction in sweating develops following treatment rather than immediately.
Treatment longevity varies considerably between individuals. Benefit may last approximately 4-12 months, with many clients experiencing results around the 4-6 month range and some experiencing significantly longer-lasting improvement.
Repeat treatment can be considered when excessive sweating begins to return.
Things to know
Excessive sweating can occasionally be associated with an underlying medical condition or medication. Where your history suggests further investigation may be appropriate, medical assessment may be recommended before treatment.
Treatment reduces sweating within the treated underarm area; it does not prevent the body from sweating normally elsewhere. Individual response and treatment longevity vary.

Treatment commonly requires approximately 300 units of Dysport® across both underarms. Your treatment and dosage will be individually assessed prior to proceeding.
Treatment Review
At Longeva™, your care continues beyond the treatment itself. Mitch recommends that all new clients return for a complimentary review approximately two weeks after their first treatment. This allows her to check that everything has settled and is working as expected, answer any questions and ensure you’re happy with your result.
You won’t necessarily require a review after every future appointment, but it is particularly recommended following your first treatment at Longeva™.
