Over time, repeated contraction of the facial muscles can contribute to expression lines becoming increasingly visible - particularly around the forehead, frown and eye area. For some women, these lines can make the face appear more tired, tense or concerned than they feel.
Wrinkle relaxation uses small, carefully placed amounts of botulinum toxin to temporarily reduce the activity of selected muscles. As the muscle activity relaxes, overlying expression lines soften and the skin can appear smoother and more rested.
At Longeva™, the goal is not a frozen or expressionless face.
Treatment is individually designed according to your facial anatomy, muscle strength, movement patterns, previous treatment history and personal preferences. Some women want only subtle softening and plenty of movement; others prefer greater relaxation. There is no standard formula.
After many years of aesthetic injecting, Mitch's preferred botulinum toxin product is Dysport®. Treatment is individually assessed and dosed with the aim of achieving a refined result while preserving natural movement, expression and facial character.
Results develop gradually following treatment and vary between individuals.

For clients having wrinkle relaxation with Mitch for the first time - including those who have previously received treatment elsewhere.
Your initial appointment allows additional time to understand your treatment history, assess how your face moves and discuss what you would like to achieve before deciding together on an appropriate treatment.
Every face moves differently. Muscle strength, facial anatomy, asymmetry, previous treatments and your preferred degree of movement all influence treatment planning. For this reason, there is no one-size-fits-all dose or standard injection pattern.
The aim is to create a treatment plan that feels appropriate for your face, rather than treating according to a formula.

Results develop gradually rather than immediately.Individual response varies according to factors including muscle strength, dosage, treatment area, metabolism and previous treatment history.
For many clients, regular treatment approximately every 3-4 months provides consistency, although treatment frequency is individual and some women prefer longer intervals.
The aim is not to eliminate every line or all facial movement. Treatment is tailored to achieve the degree of relaxation that feels appropriate for you.
Things to know
A separate Longeva™ Aesthetics Consultation is not required when booking your Initial Wrinkle Relaxation Appointment. Your consultation, assessment and treatment can be completed within the same appointment where clinically appropriate.
After booking, you will receive a confidential medical history form by email. Please complete this before your appointment so that sufficient time remains for consultation, assessment, consent and treatment.
All wrinkle-relaxation treatment is subject to clinical assessment and suitability. Individual results and treatment longevity vary.

The number of units required varies according to your facial anatomy, muscle strength, treatment areas and desired result. Your recommended treatment and expected cost will always be discussed with you before treatment begins.
Repeat Treatment
For existing Longeva™ clients returning for their regular wrinkle-relaxation treatment.
Your repeat appointment builds on what we already know about your facial movement, muscle strength, previous dosage and individual response. Treatment can be reviewed and refined over time depending on your results, preferences and how your face changes.
Wrinkle relaxation is never simply a matter of repeating the same number of units in the same places. Your facial movement and treatment goals are reassessed at each appointment, allowing treatment to remain individual, considered and appropriate for you.
The aim remains the same: to soften expression lines while preserving natural movement and keeping you looking refreshed and recognisably yourself.

Treatment Review
At Longeva™, your care continues beyond the treatment itself. Mitch recommends that all new clients return for a complimentary review approximately two weeks after their first treatment. This allows her to check that everything has settled and is working as expected, answer any questions and ensure you’re happy with your result.
You won’t necessarily require a review after every future appointment, but it is particularly recommended following your first treatment at Longeva™.
